The Cloud Advantage
Our HD VoIP technology runs on a cluster of redundant servers distributed across multiple secure data centres within the UK. As a result, our service is rock solid with zero down in the last 12 months. We take responsibility for owning, configuring, and managing them.
The only certainty is that your needs tomorrow will be different from today. Because our voip technology is centrally managed within the cloud, updates are rolled out automatically so that you always have access to new features as we develop them. Therefore, these evolutions happen without any disruption to your business.
As work forces are now increasingly mobile and remote working becomes standard. Thanks to VoIP Technology, we are helping businesses keep their team tied together even when they are physically apart. People working from home, hotels, or even the beach can make, take and manage a call just like they were sitting at their desk.
Our custom built VoIP technology provides a built in disaster plan that’s built into your setup. Whether you have lost connectivity at the office or a snow day means its not wise to expect staff to come in, clients still expect you to be reachable. Telux’s VoIP technology will make sure you can still serve your customers even if you cannot be at the office due to unexpected circumstances.
Desk Phone Optional
Work is a thing you do, not a place you go. With our VoIP technology you get the full power of a high definition business phones system on any device you want – including the simple Chrome Book. As a result, the world becomes your office.
Carrier Grade VoIP
VoIP technology has come a long way in the past five years. With BT announcing the switch off of traditional phone lines we’re seeing more and more business VoIP companies enter the market. Therefore, everyone and their mum is becoming a VoIP technology reseller. In view of this, it is especially important to work with legitimate VoIP providers rather than resellers and white-labellers.
When we founded Telux (formerly MergedComms) in Manchester in 2013, we didn’t want to add to the noise of re-sellers peddling the same products in different coloured packaging. At least 90% of VoIP companies are reselling someone else’s product. We spent two years building and testing a cutting edge platform that isn’t only ahead of existing technology, but makes us (and our users) agile enough to stay ahead of the curve for years to come. We are first and foremost a technology company that services and optimises the use of our systems for our customers. Telux is not an off the shelf dial tone, each system is configured specifically to your company’s processes and goals.

Can I use my own phone?
We are happy to work with your existing hardware if it is compatible with our system. The one time cost of provisioning is £20 per device so that it can be set up on our system.
Do I have to buy a phone from you?
No. If you would prefer to buy your phones elsewhere or already have phones compatible with our system you would like to use you are welcome to use them. The one time cost of provisioning is £20 per device so that it can be set up on our system. Click here to view our pricing.
I’ve heard VoIP has poor quality?
Standard VoIP providers send their call traffic over the public internet - something everybody shares. We do not. We have special relationships with the ISPs so that we can ensure great quality at all times.
What Internet speed do I require?
1Mb would be sufficient for 12 simultaneous calls. More important is the quality of your broadband- we can check this for you and provide affordable alternate solutions should your existing connection not be sufficient.
Will somebody come out to set everything up?
If you would like us to provide an internet connection, one of our engineers will come and set everything up. If not, then all you have to do is take your phones out of the box and plug them in- no set up required on your part!
What if I have a problem or want to change my settings?
As part of your service, you get tech support included. If you have trouble using the phone or want to change any settings, call us or send an e-mail. Everything can be managed remotely so we don’t need to come out and visit you. If you’d like to change settings yourself, we can give you guidance on how to use the Telux Portal.
What if I want to add a user?
You can add new users directly from your Telux portal or by reaching out to the support team [[email protected]] and we will send you a pre configured phone. All you have to do is plug it in and it's ready to use. Your next invoice will reflect an additional per user per month cost depending on your tariff. Click here to view our pricing.
What happens if we have a power cut?
If you purchased a PoE switch from us, you will still have power to your phones so you will not lose service. We can configure your system to include a disaster fail over [this is one of the premium features included in your system] which can divert calls to mobiles or other devices so you never lose contact.
What about dropped calls?
We have a presence in several data centres around the country. That means if the service fails in one, it will failover to another without you even knowing and with no disruption to your service.
What do calls cost?
Complete UK call rates are as follows:
01, 02, 03
1.5p / minute
6p / minute
0800 & 0500
From 7p / minute
You can find a complete list our VoIP call rates here. Call rates are subject to change.
Priority Voice Traffic
We send and receive great quantities of traffic over the internet simultaneously – data, uploads, downloads, video traffic… Because there is so much data coming and going, voice traffic often gets lost or disrupted on the internet superhighway. So it is very important your sales calls and business conversations shouldn’t be interrupted by the uploading of images or sharing of videos.
Telux VoIP Technology uses priority voice traffic which separates your essential voice calls and establishes some ground rules on bandwidth sharing. Therefore, you have the benefit of VoIP technology without the historical unreliability of sharing bandwidth. This is what separates our service from historic VoIP suppliers and platforms.
